The half-timbered ambience is beautiful and cozy. The food is good, if a little too expensive. The service tries hard, but is unhappy. On the first evening two dishes were brought wrong and late. Because of the great atmosphere we wanted to give a second chance and were unfortunately disappointed again by many annoying little things in the service. Our wine request was somehow not understood, and that a whole bottle should find its place in a cooler like the first evening, could only be made clear after many explanations, a children's portion of Maultaschen without side dishes was charged at the full adult price, etc. The ladies themselves were very nice and the environment is really nice, so we hope to get better.

We give two stars for the location and the inviting Baden ambience. With the Pinot Gris, the tomato soup and the tarte flambée, the lantern couldn't score with us that day. The Pinot Gris was warm and had a bad aftertaste. The tomato soup would have been appropriate for € 3.50. For 7.40 € overpriced, definitely not worth the price in terms of taste. The tarte flambée topped with canned food for over 19 euros, that's pure tourist rip-off, a cheek. Fortunately for us, there are much better restaurants in Baden Baden with high but rather reasonable prices

I came here as there was no table in a similar place that is slightly cheaper but was satisfied with the good solid food. Portions were big though. I had the Maultaschen that came with a side of potato salad and the juicy rumpsteak with delicious cooked vegetables and instead of fries opted for spaetzle. Not spectacular but very good and service was efficient!

Cosy, nice outside, central location near Rathaus... very good coffe.

Very active menu, BUT after we sat for 10 minutes (drinks had already been ordered) we were told that the kitchen was unfortunately closed! And put the menu from Löwenbrau across from us (advertised is a continuous kitchen from 11: 30-23: 00) FURTHERMORE, the staff was not able to wear the mask correctly!

Very nice service staff, when we said there were a lot of wasps you could hardly eat, you couldn't light coffee in the potty, this service came promptly thank you! We could now enjoy the fine food. Thank you very much

Very average service ... and not attentive .. error in taking orders for my partner .... and disappointing onion soup ... it should have been called ... onion broth ... so we have quickly settled and left to eat our desert elsewhere ...

Food of extremely poor quality. If they drop their relatively high prices by 50% , I would still not recommend this place because the service is unfriendly. And, again, the food... who is cooking that rubbish the call "rumsteak"???

Food and choices are great. Beautiful inside and going to stay at their hotel next time. Location is perfect

I didn't hate it but we paid 85 euros for a pot of cheese and dried bread cubes. Way over -priced.

Food is below average. Bill is written by hand and when asking for free water, you get water that you have to pay later. The whole place is just scam. It looks popular because people sit outside a lot.

Really...... worse than a bad experience. Price is horrible and foods.. i have no idea ? We asked a tap water once and it charged 4.3 euro. Better find another place if you want to make a good memory in Baden Baden?

Beautiful and refined. A must visit if you visit Baden-Baden

We (a family of 2 parents and 3 kids) were there mid-August. Our experience was pleasant, staff was nice and helpful. Our food was tasty and portions were generous. Our favorites were the tarts (food, not dessert - first page of the menu) and the kaiserschmarrn desert.

The service was not very attentive, my empty plate was forever around until it was cleared otherwise the food came very fast. The Maultaschen were delicious and the potato salad ok. What the hardness was, for 3 baked mushrooms you asked for 15 euros, that was a bit over the top

the worst restaurant in Baden Baden.. Price ist so bad. Indeed they ignore tourist.. Never ever go again there.. Manager who is tall german woman is extremely rude...

This place is a joke. The food seems to be cooked by some 17 yo student and they charge well for it, 8€ for a 70cl water bottle, 25€ for some pasta and fried onions. Just shameful.

Overpriced, mediocre food, and poor service. Nice location. We left unhappy, and decided to go to a better cafe around the corner for beers and dessert.

Good place to eat

Typical German restaurant. Excellent food -very large helpings so you don't need a starter. Only downside was our table was near the door so you got a cold breeze every time someone came in.
